A cottage garden

These photos are of the garden of the cottage where I'm staying with friends in England. The puppy in the second photo is a new Lhasa Apso called Daisy Mae.

It's still early spring here, and flowering plants seem to be about two weeks behind their normal time. Daffodils have come and gone, and the apple tree's buds are beginning to open, but most of the colorful flowers aren't in evidence yet.





The apple tree in the garden has thousands of buds, but only a few have opened, including just one in this cluster.
